SMB Nation and the SMB Technology Network will honor this year's winners of the SMB 150 awards contest on May 16, 2012, at the Westin Bonaventure in Los Angeles, CA. BlackBerry®, the SMB 150's platinum sponsor, will recognize each of the 150 winners with a 64 GB BlackBerry® PlayBbook™ tablet. In addition to BlackBerry, the SMB 150 is sponsored by CharTec, D&H Distributing, OKI Data Americas, PacketTrap and Western Digital.

The SMB 150 recognizes the top 150 influencers within the worldwide SMB technology channel. Influencers include IT consultants, analysts, VARs, MSPs, channel consultants, vendor and distributor executives, members of the media and community leaders. The final SMB 150 influencers list, along with a complete list of SMB 150 nominees and their professional profiles, is available at smb150.com.

"Looking at the list of winners, it becomes clear that the quality of these unsung SMB heroes has been well-represented," said Josh Freifield, president of the SMB Technology Network. "By utilizing a public voting system in conjunction with an esteemed panel of judges consisting of Jeff Connally, Josh Peterson, Chip Reaves, and Larry Schulze, we've been able to honor people based on their contribution and participation in this closely knit community."

The SMB 150 owes its success to the vibrant community that comprises and supports the SMB technology channel. Community members nominated 400 professionals for consideration in this year's competition and cast more than 60,000 votes during the contest's open voting period. The event is also made possible by its generous sponsors, each of whom is an established SMB channel vendor with a long history of supporting IT professionals.

"The SMB channel community is the perfect example of independent professionals, small business owners, and enterprises working together to meet the IT needs of both American and international small businesses," said Harry Brelsford, founder and chairman of SMB Nation. "My hat's off to this year's top 150 SMB influencers, as well as our generous sponsors who enrich the entire SMB channel year-round with their partnership opportunities. Also, I'd like to give a special thanks to BlackBerry, the platinum sponsor of this year's event."

The SMB 150 is a joint effort between SMB Technology Network (SMBTN) and SMB Nation. It is an annual event, in which the SMB channel community acknowledges its most dedicated professionals for their accomplishments and leadership.
