When looking through clothing companies catalogs or look books every year it seems there is always a few similarities between companies' lines. Sometimes these similarities manifest themselves in a certain pattern, a theme, or a specific cut of shirts or pants. The employees at Pure Board Shop will tell you that this year is no different.
Josh Menocal, manager at Pure Board Shop, reveals to us, "When looking through the catalogs and ordering for this season we noticed two things, five panel hats and camo, and now that all those orders are coming in it seems we have one of those two things from just about every company."
If you payed attention to what people were wearing last year, it was obvious that snap back hats became popular this year. According to Josh while snap back hats continue to sell well, five panel hats continue to get more and more popular and he thinks you will see alot more five panel hats on heads this year. "It's crazy how every company makes five panel hats now, and they are all sick. We've had five panels from Shake Junt, HUF, Diamond Huf, and Nike just to name a few, and we always sell out of them," Josh says excitedly.
Over the past year or so it would seem that plaid has become very popular and standard staple in everyone's wardrobe. Josh let's us know that right now at Pure Board Shop they have camo print coming in from a lot of different companies. After talking to Josh and looking around the shop it seems like every company has either come out with camo shorts, a camo hat, camo shirt, or all three to match. One notable piece of camo clothing at Pure Board Shop would be Nike SB's M65 cargo shorts. They appear to be actual military issued pants made into cut off shorts and they look authentic and unique.
With so many trends in fashion coming and going, it's nice to see some trends that look good and different. It seems that if you are into any board sports or street wear you are inevitable gonna end up in a five panel hat, camo, or both this year. So if you are in the Annapolis area and want to get your hands on some of this new gear, get down to Pure Board Shop, or check out their website pureboardshop.com.
