Physicians Angels – the only provider of virtual scribe services to medical practices – presented May 3 at the University of Texas’ McCombs School of Business, as part of the Texas Venture Labs’ 2012 Venture Expo. TVL had selected Physicians Angels as one of its “Portfolio Companies” for 2012. Physicians Angels’ President Kevin Brady discussed the company’s operations and growth with several hundred investors and business leaders at the event.
By participating in the TVL's Venture Expo event, Physicians Angels continues a strong first half to 2012. “We continue to encounter tremendous demand for our virtual scribes,” stated Brady. “Physicians Angels’ growth is being driven by the adoption of Electronic Health Records. Unfortunately, doctors are finding these EHRs do not make them productive, as advertised. Our virtual scribes remedy this, give back to doctors their time and productivity, and ensure an EHR works as designed for them.”
Physicians Angels has increased staffing in its Virtual Scribe Division fourfold since the Summer of 2011, after raising capital in a successful first round of funding to meet greater-than-expected demand for its virtual scribe service. The company now serves close to a dozen medical specialties and is present in over 50 medical offices throughout the United States – with several dozen more offices planned for the 2nd Quarter of 2012.
In addition to virtual scribes, Physicians Angels provides medical transcription and document management services. Physicians Angels also continues to develop and expand its software, mobile application, and website offerings for medical practice management in the United States and overseas.
