According to Men’s health, Chicago is the 25th fattest city in the nation and receives a D grade on fitness. This is not acceptable to one Lakeview personal trainer.

Experts at medical schools across the nation and including Harvard Medical School confirm that exercise and nutrition causes your body to release hormones that make you energized. Taking the time to work out actually helps you accomplish more in a day than just sitting. Does this make Chicago a “lazy” city since it is the 25th fattest city in the nation? Lakeview personal trainer, Craig Kastning, one of the owners of Chi-Town Boot Camps says, “My mission is to make Chi town the fittest city in the country.”

Bringing Chicago up from 25th to a top ranking in fitness is not the only reason Craig opened up Chi-Town Boot Camps in Lakeview. His goal is to “get you in the best shape of your life. People will notice how great you look in skinny jeans, you are more athletic, have flexibility to jog up stairs or throw around a baseball, and everyone will want to know how you did it.”
Craig’s customized fitness plans are designed to give boot campers a more positive outlook about the way they look and the world in general. Working out gives patrons a better mood, helps with stress and irritation and gives a general uplift to everyday life.

Using a 3-in-one exercise plan Craig and the other personal trainers at Lakeview sit down with potential campers and develop workout plans that include fat-burning, muscle-toning and conditioning workouts for a four-week period. Craig also customizes a step-by-step nutrition plan that includes foods from the local grocery stores. Craig emphasizes, “I will give you a step-by-step customized nutrition cheat sheet. But you must follow it.”

Chi-Town Boot Camps announces four-week workout sessions designed to get you fit for life. The first week includes working on customized fitness plans that focus on muscle-toning. “The first week you will be sore since you are using muscles that haven’t been worked in a while.” The second week emphasizes fat-burning and are designed to get you into a workout rhythm. Week three emphasizes conditioning and you will begin to find that your clothes fit less snug, you have more energy, and your stress levels are lower. At week four, all components come together and you will actually see great results.

“My first time working out with Craig, Jaime, and Dustin I thought, What was I thinking?! The amount of work they had us do was crazy! But let me tell you, I went back the next week (after being really sore) and never stopped AND I saw results!” testimonial from Tobi Davidson.
