Within the pages of J. H. Cortes, As Jesus Did It ($10.99, paperback, 978-1-61996-921-6; $17.99, hardcover, 978-1-61996-922-3; $5.49, e-book, 978-1-61996-923-0) readers will be compelled to reach the un-churched population. Not only was the gift of salvation meant to be enjoyed, but it is also meant to be shared with the world. The author challenges his audience to strive in ministry work on a higher level and to restore the church’s image by doing so.
“This book it is a practical way to follow the best ministry model [that] ever existed, ‘Jesus Ministry’,” states the author. “Jesus overcame the forces of evil and triumphed over the powerful pagan Roman Empire, He established His divine model of ministry, it is a guide for all of us, this book is an invitation to do it: As Jesus Did It!”
J. H. Cortes came to the United States, specifically to New Jersey, from the Euro-Africa Division of the Seventh-day Adventist world organization where he served for a brief but rewarding time in evangelism. Previously, Pastor Cortes ministered in a very difficult corner of the Inter-American Division. As a young pastor and evangelist, he faced grave dangers during the most trying times of the Cuban Revolution. The author has a Doctorate in Psychology, and Masters in Ministry and Family Counseling. His most precious treasure is his family.
