This much-needed fundraising activity will benefit the GI Go Fund which helps our nation's bravest Americans as they transition home. On May 24th, each New Jersey Education Association employee will have the opportunity to donate $5 to the GI Go Fund and wear jeans to work in support of our veterans as they transition home. The New Jersey Education Association (NJEA) is proud to sponsor the GI Go Fund’s Jeans for Troops program which is raising funds to support the GI Go Transition Center for veterans who need assistance with employment, housing, education, and access to health care.

The Jeans for Troops program encourages organizations to permit employees to donate $5 to the GI Go Fund in exchange for wearing jeans on Thursday, May 24.

“NJEA is proud to sponsor the GI Go Fund’s Jeans for Troops program,” said NJEA President Barbara Keshishian. “Our members, many of whom are veterans themselves, are committed to supporting our troops as a way of thanking them for their service.”

In addition to supporting the GI Go Fund with a contribution toward their efforts, NJEA staff will be given an opportunity to participate in the Jeans for Troops program.
