It’s official—Haitian Fresh has become the latest member of Waka Flocka’s Brick Squad Monopoly. The news for MiSS V, Inc’s client comes as talented young artist works on his upcoming EP Face the World.
“I couldn’t be more excited for Haitian Fresh,” said MiSS V, President of MiSS V, Inc. “He’s worked hard for so many years and had to overcome so many struggles to get to this point. He held his own, and now is his time to show why he’s ready to take the music world by storm.”
Waka Flocka made the news official when he placed the Brick Squad Monopoly chain around Haitian Fresh’s neck, symbolizing his addition to the talented group of artists. This latest news gives Haitian another chance to associate with some of the best established and up-and-coming talent in the business, as the Brick Squad Monopoly continues to grow.
“Haitian Fresh is up next,” said Waka Flocka. “He’s got a new EP and a hot new single about to drop. He’s definitely earned it, and we’re excited to welcome him to the group.”
The upcoming Face the World EP also features a collaboration with Waka Flocka in the track “So Gone,” which also features Roscoe Dash. Other artists featured on the EP include stars like Wyclef, B.O.B., Young Money’s Shanel and more.
Fresh is no stranger to the big stage, having been seen alongside household names at the BET Awards, 106 and Park and more. He’s worked with well known artists like Wyclef Jean, Busta Rhymes, B.O.B., Lil Boosie and others. His videos on YouTube have totaled more than 20 million views, which is more than some artists on major labels. Now, his fans across the nation will be able to watch closely as the musician they’ve watched built from the ground up now gets to seize his chance at his brightest spotlight yet.
All of this success is a culmination of a lifetime of hard work to overcome personal struggles. Haitian Fresh was born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, but fled to Miami with his family in 1998 to escape the harsh political climate of the country. Times were tough in his childhood, but his hard work wound up getting him into a notable college where he earned a degree in Business and Marketing. He’s a self described “King of grind,” and this grinding, persevering nature both became to be the defining trait of his music and made him able to escape the harsh street scene, becoming the first member of his family to earn a college degree. Now he works to build awareness of his community through his music and his stage name. As Fresh puts it, he wants to put the whole country on his back.
“Haitian Fresh is not just an artist; he’s the voice of an entire nation and a lyrical master,” said MiSS V. “For Fresh, failure is not an option. With the Brick Squad Monopoly at his back support of Grammy-nominated Wyclef Jean and MiSS V Inc., it’s truly his time now. Haitian Fresh is coming, and he’s definitely ready to Face the World!”
