Solution Enables Sales to Align Field Activity and Performance with Marketing and Sales Analytics

both specialty Pharma customers turned to Model N to manage, augment, and integrate disparate data sets between silo’ed business units

Model N, Inc., the leader in Life Sciences Revenue Management, today announced that two specialty pharma companies have gone live on a deployment of Model N’s industry-leading Field ImpACT application that tightly integrates with Veeva System’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform to create uniquely powerful capabilities for Pharma sales operations and field forces.

Insights for Driving Action in the Field

Faced with growing pressure to do more with less in an increasingly complex payor/prescriber environment, both specialty Pharma customers turned to Model N to manage, augment, and integrate disparate data sets between silo’ed business units to create rich analytical insights that drive field force actions and results. By mapping Veeva territory data to Field ImpACT’s subnational prescription data, claims, and copay data, customer field forces can leverage a Web-based, visual resource to better understand prescriber behavior, marketing spend impact, performance benchmarks, and target account responses to changing industry dynamics. Customer benefits include:

  •     Timely, targeted, context-relevant analyses to identify and execute on optimized territory/prescriber interactions including sales call planning, detailing, sampling, etc.
  •     Faster and more efficient communication between sales operations teams and the front lines
  •     Robust, integrated data feeds, including:

o    External data such as syndicated market data at subnational (MD level), formulary status, average co-pay data, and more.
o    Internal data such as promotional activity entered in Veeva (details, samples), sales alignment, sales incentive compensation, and claims rejection

  •     Increased flexibility and scalability with lower TCO from Model N’s and Veeva’s cloud-based platforms

“In these deployments, sales reps record territory activities and promotions in Veeva. That data is synchronized with Field ImpACT where it is aggregated with syndicated market data and then made available in the Veeva interface via visually rich reports,” said Sujay Jadhav, SVP Corporate Strategy at Model N. “This provides both reps and sales ops with deep territorial visibility from both internal and external market perspectives to market, payor, and Rx trends at a subnational level, driving more effective field force activity planning that results in higher quota fulfillment.”

Model N is a proud sponsor of Veeva Systems’ 4th Annual Global Customer Summit, May 15-16, at the Loews Hotel in Philadelphia, PA., where it will showcase the Model N analytics platform and extended data management capabilities and services.
