Denton, TX (PRWEB) May 15, 2012
Acadian Ambulance Service formally joined the North Texas business community at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 10 in Denton.
“We’re proud to be part of Denton and are committed to providing the best pre-hospital care in the area,” Acadian Vice President of Operations Porter Taylor said during the event sponsored by the Denton Chamber of Commerce. “A lot of people want to know what our mission and goals are in this market. It’s very simple: We’re here to stay, and we’re here to grow.”
Acadian has served North Texas since December, when the company acquired NorthStar EMS.
Jacee Jones represented the Denton Chamber and introduced Taylor. About 25 people attended the event; special guests included Gail Hill and Gayla Rice of Presbyterian Hospital of Denton, Wendy Chance from the City of Denton and David Diaz from Dallas Fire-Rescue.
Taylor outlined the services Acadian provides to the area including specially equipped critical-care ambulances, NICU and PICU transport services and bariatric ambulances. He also emphasized Acadian’s commitment to community service. “Acadian would not be the company it is today without community support,” he said. “In turn, we believe in giving back to the communities that allow us to serve them.”
Acadian Ambulance serves 24 counties in Texas and has operations in Houston, Austin, San Antonio and Southeast Texas. The nationally accredited and employee-owned company is the largest private ambulance provider in the nation.
Since 1971, Acadian has been committed to providing the highest level of emergency medical care and transportation possible. In the past decade they have expanded to include a diverse suite of services designed to offer the very best support and education in health, safety, and transportation.
