Dragon Film Productions, a South Florida based film production company is turning to the internet to raise money for its first documentary film project titled, “Gas Prices: A Love Story.”
The film is a timely response to rising gas prices that explores surprising alternative solutions that could potentially help people not only save money at the pump, but also on food, clothing, and virtually anything you buy that requires being transported from one location to the other by a vehicle. “Gas Prices: A Love Story” is based on a nonfiction eBook titled, “Death of a Gas Guzzler: A Controversial Approach to Reducing Foreign Oil Dependence” written by Luis Aponte. This will be Aponte's directing debut.
Kickstarter has been gaining notoriety as a way for independent artists, writers, filmmakers and others to raise the necessary funds for their project on a grassroots level. In exchange for their support, sponsors will receive various gifts from free copies of the eBook and DVD, to having their name featured in the credits of the film.
