Auburn, NY (PRWEB) May 17, 2012
A recent study shows that 74% of residents in Cayuga & Seneca Counties use the print yellow pages first when looking for local business information.
The study, conducted by ITM Marketing (Coshocton, OH) in May 2012, covered cities including Auburn, Cato, Moravia, Port Byron, Seneca Falls, Waterloo and Weedsport. The study was initiated by Haines Publishing, Inc.
Residents were asked if they used the internet or the local yellow pages first when searching for a local business. The study showed 71% used the yellow pages first in Auburn, 61% in Cato, 84% in Moravia, 73% in Port Byron, 80% in Seneca Falls, 76% in Waterloo and 75% in Weedsport.
“These studies confirm what those of us in the yellow page industry already know – yellow pages remain an important consumer resource alongside the internet,” said Terry Pacelli, Vice President of Haines Publishing, Inc. “People are using their local print yellow pages to find businesses.”
Based in North Canton, Ohio, Haines Publishing, Inc. produces and distributes nearly one million telephone directories across central Ohio and New York. Haines Publishing is a subsidiary of Haines & Company, Inc., publisher of the Criss+Cross Directories since 1932.
