"CAYPEN was instrumental in our discovery of this great opportunity to partner with Green Global"

CAYPEN, an organization dedicated to the promotion of ideas, talent and financial and intellectual capital for the benefit of startups, innovative businesses, mission-driven organizations, and accomplished individuals, has seen its efforts again result in a strategic alliance of its members.
Green Global develops energy-saving solutions for municipalities, which includes retrofit kits that enable streetlights to run on solar power and to be intelligently managed. The company is in the process of finalizing approval for a large scale roll out of their technology in one such municipality.
METRIX Capital Group, a provider of a wide spectrum of financial products including growth capital, provided funds to Green Global. The companies were introduced to each other through CAYPEN at one of its bi-weekly networking events.
According to Aaron Wendt, who originated the investment opportunity for METRIX, “CAYPEN was instrumental in our discovery of this great opportunity to partner with Green Global. Without Carlos Pena and the entrepreneurial community he has created here in Orange County, none of this would have been possible.” Mike Hoffman, the CEO of Green Global, concurs.
“CAYPEN has created the perfect environment for us as a start-up to meet with creative and interested investors,” states Hoffman. “The funds we have received will allow us to continue our piloting programs in six cities as well as allow us the runway to close our first major client.”
“This is exactly the kind of collaboration that we seek to inspire,” says Pena, the founder of CAYPEN. “Our goal is to bring together start-ups, small businesses, new and established entrepreneurs and the investment community for the mutual benefit of all.”
“We will continue to support CAYPEN,” adds Wendt, “and we look forward to seeing many more talented entrepreneurs and exciting opportunities emerge from this hotbed right here in our own backyard."
Green Global has similar expectations.
“We look to Carlos Pena and the ecosystem he’s creating for inspiration and resources to continue to grow our company,” says Hoffman.
Besides hosting networking events, CAYPEN publishes a bi-monthly B2B digital magazine, sponsors educational webinars and workshops and produces TV shows for the web, which will be featured on CAYPEN-TV.
