Freightliner MB used a new product that removes road paint and overspray from vehicle surfaces prior to delivery to the customer. Initial body shop estimates were in the $12,000 range to remove the road paint of which Freightliner spent approximately $200 on a new product called Get Off Clean paint remover.

Road paint removal from vehicle surfaces is a common problem especially for fleet vehicles since they are exposed to more road hazards. Freightliner Trucks of Manitoba Canada experienced a unique problem when one of their new deliveries was driven through white road paint for a considerable distance. They contacted a local body shop and obtained an estimate of almost $12,000 to remove the road paint overspray from all of the various surfaces of the vehicle including belts, hoses, mud flaps, painted body panels, wheels, tires and frame.
