We love this weekend. It’s the perfect time for friends and families to get together on the river to enjoy Maine’s wild beauty and then kick-back with great beer, food and music. - Russell Walters, President, Northern Outdoors

Northern Outdoors’ third annual “Dead River Wicked Fun” Spring Raft & Brews Weekend is a splash and sip celebration that thrills boatloads of rafters on adrenaline-spiking Class III, IV, and V whitewater along the Dead River.
The whitewater rafting adventure occurs Memorial Day Weekend on Sunday May 27, which is the second of only seven special Dead River release dates. With “wicked fun” water levels of over 5,500 CFS on the dam-controlled river, it’s a ride of a lifetime that includes 15 heart-pumping miles of continuous rapids ending with a splash at Poplar Hill Falls.
Wide-eyed rafters can cool off and calm nerves with $3 pints of handcrafted Kennebec River Brewery beer, BBQ cookout on the back patio, brewery tour and live music at The Forks Resort Center.
Festivities take place all weekend long. Get more information on whitewater rafting with Northern Outdoors.
