Waterloo, Ont.-based company Athena Software has partnered with Australian consulting firm Sinapse to provide support and training for users of Athena's Penelope case management software application in Australia and New Zealand.
Effective May 2012, Sinapse will handle aspects of technical support, deployment and training services for Athena Software's clients in Australia and New Zealand.

Sinapse is a consulting firm founded in 2008 and based in Richmond, Victoria in Australia. Since its inception, the company has expanded to include over 50 full-time consultants. Besides its consulting work in the mining, pharmaceutical, automotive and construction industries, Sinapse also works with the not-for-profit sector, a major source of Athena's burgeoning client base in Australia and New Zealand.

The agreement with Sinapse also corresponds with Athena Software's commitment to reduce its carbon footprint as a pledging partner with the not-for-profit organization Sustainable Waterloo Region. Stanley-Horn and other Athena staff have made numerous business trips to Australia to provide training and sales demonstrations to current and potential clients -- with the Sinapse partnership now in place, that will mean a significant decrease in travel miles for Athena staff.
