Cordys, the leading BPMS and Paas software vendor that helps companies drive operational excellence, will be presenting a customer use-case study together with Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) at the upcoming PlanetPTC Live 2012 event being held on June 4, 2012 at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando, Florida.
The joint session of Johns Hopkins University and Cordys, titled ‘Design (PLM) and Manufacturing (ERP) Collaboration’, will be held at 1:30 pm, Suwanee 20 room. The customer use-case study will focus on how the Applied Physics Laboratory uses Cordys Collaborative Engineering to successfully leverage legacy systems but also integrate and synchronize their design and manufacturing data. APL now has a single platform for collaboration and process-based automation, eliminating errors due to manual handling. The integration and automation resulted in significant cost savings and a much shorter time-to-market.
Yaron Rosenbaum, VP Collaborative Engineering at Cordys: “Competing in the current manufacturing market requires the enabling of collaboration between people, partners and systems and Cordys Collaborative Engineering empowers companies to do this. We are very proud to demonstrate at the PlanetPTC event, the success and cost savings APL has achieved with the Cordys CE product.”
The Applied Physics Laboratory is allied to the prestigious Johns Hopkins University. It is a not-for-profit center for engineering, research and development. It works with 3,000 engineers to meet critical national challenges through the application of science and technology. APL is located north of Washington, D.C.
