McDonald's All American senior Amile Jefferson has ended his prolonged recruitment, said a report from The 6-foot-7 forward decided to join the Duke Blue Devils. And as shared by, the aggressive pursuit for Jefferson by the Duke's coach himself played a crucial part on the player's decision.

According to the report, Jefferson came close to ending up with another school during the early period of the recruitment. The reason was that the Duke for a period of time concentrated on recruiting players at other positions, it was said. However, after the early signing period passed, the Blue Devils vigorously renewed their interest on Jefferson and it paid off, said the report.

Jefferson averaged 19 points and 10 rebounds a game as a senior McDonald All American player, the report detailed. During the NBA Top 100 Camp the previous year, he was the scoring leader and on ESPN Recruiting Nation Top 100, he ranked at no.25, added the report.
