This conference in D.C. is the perfect venue for legitimate industry professionals to unite, educate the public with the truth about tax relief, and stand together to restore the good name we have worked so hard to build over the years
Encino, CA (PRWEB) May 17, 2012
The National Association of Tax Debt Resolution Companies (NATDRC) is gearing up for its first ever Legislative and Regulatory Conference scheduled for May 20-21, 2012, in Washington, D.C., with its primary goal to build a consensus understanding among legitimate tax debt relief professionals of the challenges facing this relatively young industry and the ways in which they can begin to combat those challenges. Tax debt resolution companies have been mired in a public relations nightmare as the result of the malicious business practices of a handful of unscrupulous tax resolution companies, but rather than sulk or turn the other cheek, the National Association of Tax Debt Resolution Companies are meeting the challenges head on. The first step is educating, then once all the key issues are agreed upon and positions solidified, the association will generate regulatory legislation to introduce to federal lawmakers.
“Unfortunately we can’t go back and change what happened in the past, but we can—and must—take swift and decisive action to meet these challenges head-on and rise above them,” said Michael Rozbruch, founder and CEO of Tax Resolution Services, Co. “This conference in D.C. is the perfect venue for legitimate industry professionals to unite, educate the public with the truth about tax relief, and stand together to restore the good name we have worked so hard to build over the years. I founded the NATDRC for this exact reason, to ignite conversation and start solutions.”
The conference has lined up a plethora of quality speakers and seminars to promote the NATDRC’s stated mission to guarantee taxpayers protection from unfair and deceptive claims by unscrupulous delinquent tax debt representation providers. Director of the IRS Office of Professional Responsibility Karen Hawkins will discuss the IRS Oversight of Persons Approved to Appear before the Agency, plus discussion on the Federal Trade Commission’s Telemarketing Sales Rule, the negative impacts of lead generators and aggregators, and more. Additionally, the association will make decisions about who will staff its board of directors and other leadership positions.
There is still time to register for those who are looking to be a part of the conference. “Tax relief professionals can either sit on the sideline and hope they don’t get struck by the debris,” said Rozbruch, “or they can be a part of the solution with us.”
