When author BJ Jones overheard a heated argument between a research professor and one of his students, she did what any good writer would have done – she turned it into a story.

In her new book “Secrets at Research 2022” (published by AuthorHouse), Jones tells the suspense-filled story of two researchers who are more interested in the bottom line than the greater good.

“They become obsessed with greed,” says Jones about her devious characters, who find themselves trapped by the same power they seek.

An excerpt:

“As Jo hurried down the driveway, she noticed Don had left his cell phone on the front seat of his convertible. Taking it, she quickly called Art, knowing his shift had just ended. She hoped he would be in his personal car. The phone rang twice before he answered. Jo explained what had happened to the car and where it was. She asked if he would meet her at Bayshore and Howard, which was only a block from Don’s apartment.”

“Art arranged for a tow truck to meet them at Jo’s car. As they approached, Jo shook her head and said, ‘Something is not right.’”

While her book delivers fast-paced action and features surprising twists and turns, Jones hopes readers walk away from her book with a clear thought: honesty pays.

“Secrets will become known and catch up with you,” says Jones.
