Crash Bang Studios, LLC, a leading Tampa-based developer of mobile apps for smartphones and similar devices, has changed its name to Nitro Mobile Solutions, President/CEO Pete Slade announced last week.
Crash Bang Studios is famed for its development of the unique “My App Engine™” platform that allows affordable customization for those clients with less complex app requirements, and under its new name, will continue to build custom mobile app solutions for use with iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad, as well as on Android Mobile, Android Tablet, Windows 7, and Kindle Fire devices
Since Crash Bang’s establishment in 2009, the company has virtually outgrown its somewhat generic name, Slade explained. “Our original intention was to allow potential for development in multiple directions,” recalls Slade, “but from the first, our focus has been on the mobile app market, which has simply exploded—to the extent that we are continuing to add staff to all our locations, both in the U.S. and the United Kingdom.”
Nitro Mobile Solutions is a name that better defines the company’s specialized capabilities, says Slade, since it expresses the controlled and refined power of the customer-specific solutions they offer their rapidly-growing client list. “The energy that has fuelled our growth explosion comes from a creative, solutions-oriented team with years of corporate and business experience,” says Slade. “The recent universal growth of mobile business apps convinced us that the time is right to change our name and make it match what we do."
The boom in the mobile app market which ignited the Nitro Mobile Solutions name change is projected to continue influencing the world with its continuing repercussions, Slade points out.
“Reliable forecasts claim that by 2014, there will be more than 70 billion mobile applications downloaded annually from app stores. And as the phenomenon spreads from its current consumer focus to a business focus, applications for smartphones and tablets are predicted to outnumber PC projects by a four to one ratio, representing over 90% of new growth in this area,” explains Slade. “We definitely anticipate that Nitro Mobile Solutions will live up to its new name when it comes to growth, as well as its ability to empower our clients as they embrace this amazingly personal way to connect with their customers.”
Slade, a popular speaker, motivator and patent-holding inventor who refers to himself as a mobile evangelist, reports that Nitro Mobile Solutions’ growth and revenues have skyrocketed as it has created more than 100 new apps for business clients during the last eight months, including Fortune 30 companies like Home Depot. Such efforts have been demonstrably successful, as users of its app engine product have sent more than 200,000 push notification messages to their customers over the last six months.
