Business blogging agency The Blogshop recently announced the winners of the Best Blog Awards 2012’s three categories, with the judging panel handing first places to Mindjet’s blog (Best Blog Design), Advent IM’s architecture blog (Best Blog Content) and HerUni (Best Use Of A Blog).

Launched in January 2012, the Best Blog Awards were developed with the aim of putting the spotlight on some of the internet’s best blogs, whilst also raising the profile of business blogging by showing exactly what can be achieved when done correctly and how truly beneficial it can be for SEO purposes or lead generation.

Speaking to the first placed blogs, Parker Trewin, Mindjet’s Director of Global Communications,after hearing the judges comments that the blog was “perfect” due to it being “professional, accessible, and interactive”, explained “Along with the exponential in our viewership this is a great testimonial to Mindjet’s new blog which looks to provide an engaging format for awesome collaboration content that we are so passionate about.”

Described by the judges as having “fantastic, visual content that’s interesting to those outside of their target audience” Ellie Hurst, Marketing Manager at Advent IM, said "We're absolutely thrilled to come first in the Best Blog Content category!  We see our architecture blog as an integral part of our online brand and development and it's fantastic to not only receive praise for it, but to have it used as an example of just what can be achieved through business blogging."

Seeing blogs entered from SME to enterprise level, all placed blogs received a range of prizes, including a free business blogging review and analysis, whilst the first and second placed blogs within each category benefited from a tailor-made business blogging strategy to further build on the success of their blog to date.
