Deseret Health Group has chosen HealthMEDX Vision to manage resident records across over 20 locations in Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Utah. System architecture and focus for multi-site, multi-setting organizations finalized the partnership decision.
Deseret Health Group has utilized multiple solutions for their long-term care campuses over the past several years. In the last year, Deseret Health Group began a search for a single solution that could manage all aspects of the care they provide residents across their 20+ locations. The organization specializes in rural communities. Given the focus of their communities, Deseret saw the opportunity to provide often overlooked rural areas with leading technology to manage the care of over 1,500 residents.
“When we sat down to asses all our systems and where to go, we decided to consolidate” stated Garett Robertson, CEO of Deseret Health Group. “After looking at everything available, there was a clear distinction between the quality of the systems. We wanted to buy something that could take us beyond simply getting the job done. HealthMEDX had a good product and others were not really comparable.”
Deseret Health Group will utilize the SaaS solution from HealthMEDX to further streamline operations and resources across their multiple campuses. The full suite of solutions from the HealthMEDX Vision product will be utilized including point of care documentation and the integrated therapy system.
Investing in a solution that was a leader in the post acute technology space was important to Deseret Health Group as well. As one of the first vendors to achieve CCHIT Certified® 2011 LTPAC status in support of the ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 Stage 1 meaningful use measures, HealthMEDX has made investments to maintain their status as an industry leader. The company’s focus on providing a robust product that can adapt to the workflow and needs of the ever changing industry also secured their place as an industry leader. Deseret Health Group’s commitment to serving rural communities with premier solutions was a key factor in the decision to move forward with HealthMEDX.
“Rural communities have the same old stigmas. They try to get better but are fundamentally limited,” Garett Robertson went on to say. “It’s not often that you can go to one of these areas and see someone committed to bringing modern advancements and leading rather than simply getting by. We want to bring the quality larger cities receive to the rural communities we serve. We continue that commitment with the move to HealthMEDX Vision.”
Deseret will begin implementation of the HealthMEDX Vision solution in the coming months.
