Keshet Kennels announces the release of its e-postcards application, Dog ePost, now available through the iTunes app store. Keshet Kennels developed Dog ePost to raise money in support of its dog rescue efforts.
Dog ePost, designed for Apple devices, allows the user to quickly and easily stay in touch with friends and family, no matter where they are. A modern version of an old custom, Dog ePost allows the user to send electronic postcards using email, Facebook or Twitter.
"During these hard economic times the number of families having to surrender their large dogs is increasing. As a result the costs required to support our rescue facilities has risen dramatically," said Debbie Moffat, Founder and Owner of Keshet Kennels. "We have launched this mobile application, both from our desire for friends and families to enhance their communications, but also to help drive the revenue required to support our dog rescue efforts.”
Dog ePost comes complete with over 100 different e-postcard templates with general, holiday, special occasion and sentiment themes. Also included are over 100 pictures that capture the joie de vivre of the past and present residents of Keshet Rescue. Of course, the user may also choose to take or upload their own pictures from the photo library for use in any of the templates. Dog-lover or not, Dog ePost has something for everyone wanting to reach out and stay in touch.
Dog ePost is a joint venture between Keshet and Purple Forge. All proceeds from the sale of Dog ePost will be used by Keshet to support Keshet’s dog rescue operations.
Keshet Kennels is focused on providing services and facilities in support of dogs; and Keshet Rescue is focused on providing a safe haven for large breed dogs which are at higher risk of euthanasia if they enter the traditional system.
Neither Keshet Kennels or Keshet Rescue are registered charitable organizations. Currently, the care of the dogs is being funded from sponsorships and the Keshet Kennels revenues associated with facility usage, services, boutique sales and application sales such as Dog ePost.
