Set for a 2013 release, “I Know That Voice” is a film paying homage to the great voice actors of today and those that paved the way as the legends of previous generations. Shedding light on one such classic voice actor, Elizabeth Messina delivers her book “What’s His Name? John Fiedler: The Man The Face The Voice” (published by AuthorHouse), a new biography of renowned voice actor John Fiedler.
Fiedler is a well known character and voice actor with a career spanning nearly 60 years. His rich career in television and film included guest-starring roles in countless television shows such as “The Bob Newhart Show,” “Star Trek,” “The Odd Couple,” “The Twilight Zone,” “The Munsters,” “Gunsmoke” and many more.
Fiedler also appeared in several well-known films, including “12 Angry Men,” “A Raisin in the Sun,” The Odd Couple,” “That Touch of Mink” and “True Grit.” However, he is perhaps most recognized as the original voice of Piglet, a role he debuted in 1968’s “Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day” and reprised in many movies, television shows and video games for nearly 40 years.
Messina finds Fiedler incredibly inspiring, and she believes her book will show readers why he led such an inspirational life. “John Fiedler is a breath of fresh air in today’s harsh world,” says Messina. “John reminds us all that there is hope, and with a little faith, hard work, and willpower, we can accomplish anything.”
