Wappan Station has recently made changes to their booking services, presenting tourists with opportunities to book a Mansfield accommodation early as the ski season draws near. This arrangement is designed to help travellers enjoy their holiday with a seamless reservation process.

Every winter season, both locals and tourists from far flung places flock to the numerous ski resorts in Australia. Victoria is home to many of the country’s snow-covered mountains, such as Hotham, Falls Creek, Lake Mountain, and Mount Baw Baw; but with over half a million visitor-days in one season, Mount Buller is definitely the most popular of all the ski resorts in this region. To be able to attend to the astounding number of visitors that come to the resort every year, Mount Buller is equipped with 7000 beds right on the mountain itself.

However, given the popularity of Mount Buller, many tourists may have some difficulty finding lodgings, even with the resort’s abundant bed capacity. For this reason, many off-mountain establishments are now offering rooms that visitors can reserve early – way before ski season starts. Wappan Station, a scenic sheep station offering farmstay Victoria accommodations in the high country, is one of these off-mountain establishments.

“Wappan offers a range of comfortable group accommodation options for families and friends,” reports Sarah Tehan, member of the Tehan family who has owned and operated the estate for five generations, “The rooms are furnished with generous kitchens, comfortable dining and lounge areas, loads of bedrooms, and plenty of space to relax in or explore as you wish,” she adds.

For the winter holiday travellers, the farmstay provides accommodations with a magnificent view of Mount Buller. These lodgings include The Shearers Quarters, Wappan Cottage, and Royal Town Cottage. The Shearers Quarters can accommodate twenty people, and is furnished with eight bedrooms, a veranda, as well as outdoor furniture and grilling facilities. Wappan Cottage sleeps ten people and is ideal for two families going on holiday together. Royal Town Cottage, on the other hand, is a comfortable, self-contained two-bedroom cottage that sleeps six.

Wappan station is only an hour’s drive away from Mount Buller’s ski resort. Visitors to the renowned mountain can now reserve rooms at Wappan Station months before winter to avoid problems arising from full accommodations. Besides avoiding the hassles of reserving rooms during the holiday rush, early booking of Wappan Station’s cottages also lets guests save on hard-earned holiday funds. With rental prices well below $500 per night, Ms. Tepan agrees, saying, “Wappan Station is just a short drive from Mount Buller’s snow fields, and visitors can enjoy the thrills of skiing and snowboarding without breaking their budget.”

In addition, the picturesque sheep farm is operational all year and provides Mansfield and Lake Eildon accommodation for tourists during any season, not just during winter.

“Our farmstay accommodation is an ideal home base for exploring Mansfield and the High Country area,” Ms. Tepan shares, “In the summer, you can swim, fish, water ski, or simply relax on the shores of Lake Eildon. You can also ride the Rail Trail and explore the surrounding district to see the local wineries and markets.”

Wappan Station’s strategic location, affordable rates, and comfortable amenities provide visitors with a fun and exciting holiday. With the estate’s recently introduced scheme for early reservations, guests will have no problem securing exceptional accommodations for a memorable vacation experience.
