...from our understanding of Qualys service, and pricing, we seem to offer something better and easier for customers.

Trust Guard updated their website with a page comparing their vulnerability scanning service with Qualys' service. Trust Guard compares their service to Qualys service in terms of “price and ease of use.” Both companies offer vulnerability scanning for the purpose of website security by detecting security holes or vulnerabilities.
The webpage has two sections, the first part titled, Qualys Vulnerability Scanner, which discusses the products and services provided by Qualys. The second part is titled, Trust Guard vs. Qualys, where the two companies are compared in price and service. Trust Guard claims that they offer both a more user-friendly service as well as a service for a cheaper price.
Dave Brandley, Trust Guard co-founder, said “we have put the information on the website to make shopping easier for customers. They can see the similarities and the differences, we haven’t made any claims that were not well researched, and from our understanding of Qualys service, and pricing, we seem to offer something better and easier for customers.”
Trust Guard’s service comparison, according to Brandley, was made based on whether or not the merchant, or the vulnerability scanning company conducted the scanning. The pricing comparisons were based on monthly or yearly vulnerability scanning rates, and the cost of Trust Seals, or QualysGuard seals.
“For example, Qualys offers a product, not a service, so merchants have to buy the product and implement the vulnerability scanning themselves which requires both time and technical knowledge. Also, they charge more for their product. We charge less and offer more services and this includes security seals which Qualys only offers for an additional fee.” Said Brandley.
The comparisons were made public and are currently available on Trust Guard’s website among comparisons with other competing security companies.
