“As part of our ongoing commitment to providing news and information for improving Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) around the world, this relaunch provides a significant SM (Social Media) boost to our site"
Newmarket, Ont. (PRWEB) May 22, 2012
Global Food Safety Resource (GFSR) announces the revitalization and relaunch of its blog, Food Safety in a Global Village.
“As part of our ongoing commitment to providing news and information for improving Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) around the world, this relaunch provides a significant SM (Social Media) boost to our site, as it continues to grow as a vital and trusted digital resource in food safety,” said GFSR President Tina Brillinger.
The blog is a venue for sharing ideas and encouraging dialogue among the members of the GFSR media team and its audience – the full gamut of international food industry professionals for whom food safety is a vital, daily issue for making and keeping businesses successful.
GFSR is kicking off its relaunch with a post by GFSR’s new Editorial Director of Content, Stephanie Ortenzi, who adds a combination of editorial, marketing and culinary skills to the GFSR team.
Before becoming a food industry journalist and marketing writer – her articles have appeared in Restaurant News, Foodservice & Hospitality and Baker’s Journal, and her clients have included the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Parmalat, Renée’s Gourmet and BitchinKitchen.tv -- Ortenzi was a fine dining chef at such DIRONA (Distinguished Restaurants of North America) restaurants as Scaramouche, Bistro 990 and the Art Gallery of Ontario.
“We’re looking to Stephanie to help facilitate the publishing of voices and ideas from a growing community of thought leaders from the international food industry on food safety issues,” Brillinger added.
“Having just returned from the Food Safety Summit in Washington, where I connected with industry people from several continents – many of whom have food safety stories they want to tell and who have ideas they want to share – I’m excited about helping to publish a range of eloquent voices,” Ortenzi said.
In concert with the GFSR team, Ortenzi also contributes to the GFSR mandate to provide practical insights and solutions that will help companies establish solid food safety management systems to meet the growing demand for both industry and regulatory compliance.
