Champion Property Management has added 648 apartments to its management portfolio with the recent additions of Bridgestone Apartments in Hilliard, Ohio, and Collier Park in Grove City, Ohio. The two complexes increase the company’s management portfolio to more than 2,600 apartments and a total of 11 communities.
“We have been able to grow our management portfolio because of our cost-effective operating platform that has appealed to so many multi-family owners. We have many systems in place to keep our occupancy at near capacity, in addition to maximizing the cash returns to our investors,” Brian Yeager, President and CEO, said.
“But most importantly, we succeed because of the work ethic and commitment of our employees,” Yeager added. “Our people are the most vital resource for this organization.”
Bridgestone Apartments is located off of the recently widened Roberts Road, just north of Hilliard Rome Road. Bridgestone Apartments feature 416 one- and two-bedroom garden-style apartments, with four different floor plans to offer its residents. The community resides in the Columbus City School District.
Champion is no stranger to the Hilliard area, as it currently manages two sister communities, Saddlebrook and Pinelake Apartments, which began in the summer of 2011.
“Bridgestone is a terrific addition to our portfolio. With the experience under our belt from Saddlebrook and Pinelake Apartments, we can really hit the ground running,” Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Michelle Yeager, said. “I anticipate this transition to move smoothly and that Bridgestone will be a profitable investment for all involved.”
Collier Park, a 232-unit apartment community, is located off of Gantz Road in the heart of Grove City. This private community also features one- and two-bedroom garden-style apartments, with three floor plan options. Collier Park is located within the excellently-rated Southwestern City School District.
Both communities offer residents a lifestyle of convenience with easy access to I-270, downtown Columbus, and a multitude of shopping, dining, and entertainment options.
“We’re are thrilled to add another Hilliard property to our portfolio and are even more excited to expand to Grove City,” Brian Yeager said. “Hilliard and Grove City are both vibrantly growing cities in central Ohio, and very desirable cities to live in.”
Champion will continue to expand in 2012 and has goals to seek out additional third-party management opportunities. The company’s focus will be to acquire and manage affordable properties in the desirable areas of central Ohio.
