After posting back to back ALMS P2 class championships in 2010 and 2011 the Scott Tucker owned racing team have made a fantastic start to the 2012 season.

Last weekend's P2 class victory in the American Le Mans Monterey Presented by Tequila Patrón was the third straight P2 class win for Level 5 Motorsports. It followed class wins in the season opening 12 Hours of Sebring and last month's Long Beach Grand Prix. The American Le Mans Series takes a break in June to allow eligible drivers and teams to compete in the world famous Le Mans 24 Hour Endurance race in France.

Scott Tucker and Christophe Bouchut have already amassed 51 points to lead the driver's standings after three races. The next race in the series is the American Le Mans Northeast Grand Prix. It will be held at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut and takes place on July 7th. Increased competition in the form of two new teams, Black Swan Racing and Conquest Endurance has made the race for the ALMS P2 championship much more exciting and competitive this season.

Out of the new teams competing this year Conquest Endurance have been posing the biggest threat to reigning champions Scott Tucker and Christophe Bouchut. After the 3rd race of the season Conquest's Martin Plowman and David Heinemeier-Hansson are only 8 points behind the Level 5 duo. Tucker and Bouchut are headed to France in June to compete in the Le Mans 24 hour race before returning for the 4th round of the American Le Mans Series where they will be aiming to keep their championship defense on the right track.
