The Jackson Companies in Myrtle Beach, SC has named Ron Welchel Human Resources Director. Welchel will be responsible for employee relations, compensation and benefit design and administration, staffing, safety, risk management and training.

During the past 32 years, Welchel has garnered an impressive resume in Human Resources. The past 10 years, Welchel has served as Vice President of Human Resources in the health care arena for Community Home Health Care and Hospice Inc. and the Winyah Health Care Group, LLC. He focused on enhancing employee benefits and reducing company expenses as well as innovative training techniques and improved retention. Many locals would know Welchel from when he was Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Canal Industries, Inc. in Conway, SC from 1992-2001.
Welchel resides in Murrells Inlet with his wife, Angie. Ron is a Cum Laude graduate of the University of South Carolina, earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree. In addition to fishing and travel, they enjoy spending time with their two children, Sarah and Wesley. Ron and Angie are active members of Belin Memorial United Methodist Church in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.
