MandaLingua, Shanghai’s leading Chinese Language school, was proud to bring the Chinese Language and Culture closer to the public by hosting an open house at its People’s Square location in downtown Shanghai.
“The event drew a large crowd of people. I am so proud that our event was appealing to the public, and of our Chinese team which allowed it to be such a success," said Daniele Bardaro, Owner and Managing Director. Guests were given ample opportunity to mingle with the MandaLingua teaching staff, learn about how classes are conducted, and meet the MandaLingua management, who were on hand to answer questions about the various programs on offer.
In addition to learning some common Mandarin expressions from the MandaLingua teaching staff, new and prospective students were able to take part in a variety of Chinese themed cultural activities such as calligraphy, a tea ceremony, and an introduction to the game of mahjong. Children had the opportunity to experience mask painting. “Our goal was to introduce not only MandaLingua’s language training program, but also to place the language in a cultural context," said Imo Homfeld, MandaLingua’s Marketing Manager, and co-owner.
A guest at the open house, Jean Michel Zwygart, from Switzerland, intends to start taking classes at MandaLingua in the near future. “I really like the small class size and the individual attention I’ve been given here at MandaLingua. I also appreciate the custom developed textbooks, which I believe will serve me better than those I’ve seen at other schools," he said.
“The things I’ve learned in class have been a tremendous help, both at work and in daily life situations. We have lots of fun in class, so learning comes easily," says Nicole Kliche, a Shanghai based product manager for a European gardening supply company. “I especially like that the European management speaks my native tongue, so that if any issues arise, I am able to communicate and resolve them in my own language," she added.
MandaLingua provides an innovative, complete and highly flexible Chinese Language learning program designed to meet the needs of students from all countries, backgrounds, and levels of ability. The core curriculum was developed by a team of European and Chinese language experts with the goal of bringing both cultures closer together.
