Ms. Johnson will lead children, teens, and young adults at WellBalance weight loss camp in Santa Cruz, California. The health program is hosted at UC Santa Cruz, considered by Forbes one of the prettiest campuses in the world.

“We aren’t a fat camp with poor facilities, a short-term focus, and a young unqualified staff,” stated John Gordon, CEO of WellBalance, “We found a fantastic campus and worked very hard to find highly qualified staff including Program Director Christine Johnson, who we are very excited to have join us in order to run what we believe to be the best weight loss camp in California.”

WellBalance campers will learn the ME Plan designed to Motivate & Educate on what works for lasting teen fitness and weight loss. Ms. Johnson’s role will be to ensure the skills and motivations are instilled in every camper and staff member in order to ensure lasting health success.

“I have worked with other weight loss camps and the balance of fun, fitness, weight loss, and continued support is why I was interested in working with WellBalance this summer,” continued Ms. Johnson,” I know we will be able to motivate and educate our campers on how to eat a healthy diet and maintain physical activity. I can’t wait.”

Ms. Johnson received her Masters of Science degree in Kinesiology as well as her B.S. Ed in Health and Physical Education from Georgia Southern University. She is a middle school physical education teacher, has worked for Statesboro Recreation Department and for other weight loss camps, and will begin pursuing her doctorate degree in the fall.
