Expert career coaches and career advisors have collaborated on the ‘Supercharge Your Job Search’ campaign from Career Directors International (CDI) to provide free expert advice to job seekers. CDI will share eight informative tips each weekday across nine areas of job search strategy via Twitter @Careerhero, beginning Wednesday, May 23rd and ending October 19th.

'Supercharge' is the collaborative brainchild of the volunteer-based Innovation Committee at Career Directors International (CDI), a global association of top resume writers and career coaches. In the campaign, the committee has harnessed the expertise of its global membership to create this one-of-a-kind social educational campaign.

According to CDI’s President, Laura DeCarlo, “Job seekers frequently don’t know how to effectively launch a successful job search campaign which can painfully drag out their job search unnecessarily. In CDI’s ‘Supercharge Your Job Search’ campaign, our expert members have collaborated to provide a wealth of diverse and free how-to tips that will put job seekers in control of their job search.”

What it is: Expert job search tips from career professionals worldwide which will be presented as Tweets in 140 characters or less on Twitter @Careerhero #cdisst.

When it happens: CDI will be Tweeting on the hour Mon-Fri from 10 AM to 5 PM Eastern starting Wednesday, May 23rd. With over 850 expert tips, the free advice will continue through October 18th.

What it contains: The 'Supercharge' campaign covers tips in nine areas of job search, which include:

1. Job Search Focus – Tools and tactics that would help a job seeker to get clear on their career and/or job focus.

2. Finding Jobs: Research of Targeted Organizations (Private, Non-profit, Government), Industries & Individuals – Online or offline research method that allows job seekers to find company or industry information and/or key influencer/decision makers.

3. Finding Jobs: Networking - Relationship-building and nurturing strategies or referral sources that would further a job seeker’s job search.

4. Finding Jobs: Job Boards & Website Job Centers – Strategies that help job seekers to get the most out of job boards, and/or use them more efficiently and effectively.

5. Finding Jobs: Career Fairs – Strategies that assist job seekers to get the most benefit from career fairs.

6. Finding Jobs: Direct Sourcing by Recruiters & Employers – Techniques that assist job seekers to increase their visibility and credibility to internal and external recruiters and employers for hire.

7. Finding Jobs: Temporary to Permanent Hiring – Strategies that help job seekers find and utilize employment agencies to gain permanent hires.

8. Finding Jobs: Print Advertising (Want Ads) – Techniques to assist job seekers to best use print want ads in their job search.

9. Finding Jobs: Walk-Ins – Methods that allow job seekers to successfully perform organization walk-ins (company or non-profit), where appropriate, for targeting employment.

Phase two of the educational campaign will commence in late October to early November when CDI will release the complete 'Supercharge Your Job Search' ebook. The ebook will compile all the expert job search tips into a categorized resource available for free download from CDI and its members.
