Capitol City Cheer is now offering recreational teams that will be partially performance and semi-competitive. The Mid Season program, Prep Teams, are now a USASF division that will be offered in the 2012-13 season. Teams are formed based on age and no tryout is required. Registration for teams will take place in the month of May and November 2012. The teams will be committed for 6 months and then a new sign up will take place. Athletes can choose to compete for one season or two seasons, making this a year round program. The athletes will perform and compete a 2 minute routine that will include tumbling, stunts, pyramid, dance, and jump work. This routine will be learned at a choreography camp and practiced throughout the session. Performances will be in central Missouri and competitions will be in state. This program will be headed by Coach Kelly Frye. “I am excited to be leading this new program at Capitol City. This is an excellent addition to our current teams and classes and fills a void for athletes that want to stay competitive but for whatever reason, financial or time, can't make a full year commitment.”
Capitol City Cheer will be offering teams in the Tiny, Mini, Youth, and Junior divisions this summer. All practices are 1-2 hours per week with an option to add an additional tumbling hour. For more information, check out our website at http://www.cccheer.net.
