The Sprint Nextel Affiliate Shentel TV commercial, “Brain Surgeon” by Baltimore-based agency, Carton Donofrio Partners, has been selected by CBS to be featured in the Clash of Commercials program: USA VS. The World, a competition of the greatest commercials ever.

Executive Creative Director, Michael Neiderer, said, “We don’t believe promotional spots have to be straightforward and boring. They can still be smart, entertaining and contribute to the brand story.”

It’s been said that advertising isn’t brain surgery. Then again in this case it actually is. The spot, which aired regionally in the 2011 Holiday Season, is part of an ongoing television effort in which Carton Donofrio Partners creates unusual situations where folks have their phones lost, crushed, stolen and even stitched into their head in the case of “Brain Surgeon.”
