eDataSource Launches New Consumer Inbox Report for Retailers and Email Service Providers; Daily Statement Delivers Email Inbox Placement and Open Rates from Panel of 800,000+ Active Consumer Inboxes

Now retail marketers and email service providers can get a report of email inbox placement and open rates - on their email campaigns and those of their competitors - delivered right to their desktops daily. Based on a panel of 800,000+ consumer inboxes, this maximizes their time and resources, and helps improve campaign performance with more accuracy.

eDataSource (http://www.edatasource.com), a leading provider of online competitive intelligence, now offers a daily Consumer Inbox View report to allow retail brands and email service providers (ESPs) to monitor inbox placement and open rates by individual email marketing campaigns.

By combining its proprietary email analytics capability and panel of 800,000+ active consumer inboxes, eDataSource can report the percentage of emails that are delivered to the inbox versus the spam folder in AOL, Gmail and Yahoo for each email campaign detected. The report, emailed daily to the marketer’s desktop, also includes the number of emails received by the panel that were opened, opened and deleted, and deleted without opening.

"There is about a 15% margin of error with seed-based monitoring services as reported by some of these companies themselves," said G.B. Heidarsson, SVP of Sales and Marketing for eDataSource. "Our Consumer Inbox View report is a complementary product that monitors inbox delivery and open rates, typically based on a much larger sample size of actual consumer inboxes, and therefore takes into account how ISPs deliver to inboxes based on consumers’ individual preferences.

“We want to make it as quick and easy as possible for our clients to get the information they need to analyze their campaigns and those of their competitors,” Heidarsson continued. “Having this report in their inboxes first thing in the morning will help facilitate this process and eliminate the manual work that goes into creating such a report every day.”

Marketing teams at retail brands can efficiently track the performance of their own email campaigns as well as their competitors’ campaigns, and can use this data to benchmark their email marketing program performance. Account teams at ESPs can monitor hundreds of sending domains, adding to the depth of analysis they provide their clients.

This report is available on a subscription basis. For subscription and pricing information, contact eDataSource at 800-761-6580 or sales(at)edatasource(dot)com.
