The first Knomadik collection being released is more everyday wear compared to his Daniel Patrick line, as he uses fleece, french terry, and jersey cotton on his tees, hoodies, and drop crotch pants and shorts. High quality basics in slightly elongated silhouettes combined with drapery and warm earth tones offered along with the black staples make this collection really catch your eye. The inspiration for the collection is drawn from the designer’s nomadic workouts through the desert and mountains near his Los Angeles home and primitive cultures combined with futuristic beings creating something that is avante garde yet comfortable.
“I greatly enjoy the over sizing of all his pieces. Although I’m one for sleeker looks, I enjoy the heaviness of his entire collection," says Nick Alvarez from Bruit Noir. “The fluidity and massiveness is intriguing, yet comforting. Daniel Patrick has walked into my life with this gorgeous collection, and all I ask is for him to stay in it forever,” states Nick.
“The Knomadik project is really an extension of my nomadic vision. I wanted to create something a little more everyday wear hoodies, sweats and tees to begin with and expand the offering from there,” says designer Daniel Patrick. “I source my materials for my lines locally and globally depending on what we are creating. It’s born in Australia and made in America.”
Daniel Patrick was born and raised in Sydney, Australia and now resides in Los Angeles. He got into fashion back in 2007 giving up an offer to play professional Rugby in France and instead enrolling into fashion college and beginning his journey into the world of high fashion.
