Two of Denmark’s local tourism businesses have garnered the top achievements in the Annual Albany Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) Business Awards, held on the 30th of March this year. Many are saying this is reflective of the great potential that the state offers to the public and tourism, in general.
According to analysts in the industry, these latest recognitions of the two local-based companies are testaments as to how tourism in Denmark is getting better each year and how the state will subsequently be marked on the map as one of the premiere destinations in the country.
The Lake House, a local business in Denmark, was the big winner of the night, winning awards for Small Business, Tourism and Industry Development. The award qualified the firm to compete in behalf of the Great Southern for a state-level competition.
On the other hand, Out of Sight Tours and Eco-Discovery Shop won in the Micro Business Category known as the “Wignalls Wines Award for Micro Businesses with fewer than 5 employees”. The company was also recognised as first runner up for the Tourism category, next to The Lake House.
