Medical packaging designers often are faced with balancing good design and creative flair, with clear instructions and guidelines for dosage and warnings of medical products. Due to changes in medical guidelines, a medical supply business found it necessary to re-think their product branding and look into how the designs can work better with important product information. It is for this reason they approached Marketing Quotes, to help find a designer that had medical design experience to take on the re-design task.
A spokesperson from the medical company commented 'we have had feedback from the medical council about making dosage information and any warnings very clear on our medical products, so we need to factor this into the designs and branding of our medical product ranges. We did meet with a few different design agencies, but selected one that has done design for medical companies in the past.'
Anne Richards (who works with Marketing Quotes) added 'Many companies do face the difficulty of balancing essential information (such as ingredients, warnings, recycling information etc.) with the brand of the business, which is just one of the problems with product packaging and cannot be overlooked. We do feel that the best designers for medical packaging products are the ones that have created successful medical designs in the past, they will be the ones that have the experience and track record that can be drawn upon.'
