Entertainment Industries Council, Inc. (EIC) is proud to be a unique exhibitor at the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA) annual trade show. EIC will offer the 16th Annual PRISM Awards Showcase television special, 2nd Annual S.E.T. Awards and a new series, American Heroes, produced in association with American Soldiers Network during the Cable Show. The exhibition serves as a national showcase for the cable industry's innovative services, including quality television programming, interactive television services, high-speed Internet access, and competitive local telephone service.

“EIC works to bring the power and influence of the entertainment industry to communicate on health and social issues. PRISM recognizes unparalleled accuracy in the presentation of mental health and substance use issues while S.E.T. honors Science, Engineering and Technology programming that encourages the next generation of workforce to pursue careers in these fields. It is a pleasure to promote these positive depictions of Hollywood to inform the cable audience of the commendable work being done within our creative community,” said Brian Dyak, President & CEO, EIC.

“Our budding series, American Heroes, in association with American Soldiers Network, highlights the fact that nearly one million service members will return to civilian life in the next 5 years and it is imperative that we celebrate their sacrifices and recognize their needs. This magazine-style series will not only shed light on the personal stories of these outstanding Americans, but also serve as a catalyst in the reintegration process,” according the Larry Deutchman, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Industry Relations for EIC.

Now in its 16th year, the PRISM Awards Showcase will air on EIC’s flagship network, FX on September 16th. A dozen or more additional cable outlets will also air the hour-long special before it begins an extended airing schedule in local, online and on-demand broadcast. During The Cable Show, EIC will meet with all interested telecast, VOD and web streaming outlets to discuss partnerships to increase the reach of this important program which entertainingly communicates that there is assistance for mental health and substance use issues and that the creative community recognizes and supports accurate storytelling of these concerns.
