MyTechHelp, a fast-growing division of Saveology, will bring IT students from local colleges together to compete in a unique game show competition called “The Tech Factor.” The event, which is being held on June 19 at 6:00 p.m., will feature a number of two-person college teams competing for a $1,000 cash prize. The event is being held at the new, state-of-the-art technology campus of Saveology at 5259 Coconut Creek Parkway in Margate.

Atlantic Technical Center, ITT Tech and Keiser University have already confirmed that they will be represented by their top computer whizzes for the event. During the game show, each two-person team will be required to answer questions from a panel of expert judges. These questions, increasing in difficulty, will consist of general computer knowledge as well as digital product functionality. During the final round, known as the Tech Factor Challenge, each team will face a complex problem that will give them the opportunity to actually demonstrate their technical prowess.

“As a local company which relies on having strong technology expertise, we are really looking forward to hosting this event,” said Benzion Aboud, who is CEO of MyTechHelp and Saveology. “I expect this to be a high-energy event that will be a lot of fun. We want to see what kind of IT talent is coming out of the local schools, and which students rise to the Tech Factor challenge.”

The headquarters of Saveology and MyTechHelp will provide the perfect backdrop to this exciting community event. Modeled after the offices of Silicon Valley technology companies, the futuristic building includes amenities ranging from a putting green, basketball court and gym to a barber shop, koi pond, exotic animals and a limitless supply of drinks and snacks for its employees.

This latest event will come on the heels of a May 21 job fair which drew dozens of applicants seeking to fill 50 currently available positions at MyTechHelp.
