Edinburgh, Scotland (PRWEB UK) 24 May 2012
“The Edinburgh Pain Clinic is a new clinic involving highly experienced clinicians in the Edinburgh area,” said Chrissy Allan, general manager of The Edinburgh Clinic. “The clinic focuses on alleviating all types of pain from joint pain, emotional pain, migraine pain to plantar fasciitis.”
Mrs Allan explained that the Edinburgh Pain Clinic is a new venture that was specifically designed to provide full care for alleviating joint, muscle and nerve pain and disorders. In addition, Mrs Allan said, the new clinic comes equipped with ESWT Shock Wave Therapy treatment.
“This means that many people will now have access to this NICE (National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence) approved treatment who otherwise would not have this option,” Mrs Allan stressed, before adding that, “The Edinburgh Clinic has state of the art radiology facilities and patients can receive high standards of care in beautiful surroundings.”
The opening of the new clinic could prove to have perfect timing.
According to the British Pain Society, more than 10 million people suffer from some form of pain in the UK each year.
“The fact that the Edinburgh Pain Clinic involves many highly regarded and experienced clinicians means that for the first time in Edinburgh, there is a clinic dedicated to removing, assisting, and alleviating pain,” Mrs Allan said.
When it comes to the new clinic’s Shock Wave Therapy, only three appointments are needed.
“The best part about it is that the treatments do not hurt and requires no analgesia and more than 77 percent of people have a positive response,” Mrs Allan noted. “Other treatments available are given under the direct care of the experienced clinicians involved, in much nicer surroundings than any other hospital or clinic in Edinburgh.”
