The Search Agency Names Peter Celeste Chief Revenue Officer

Former Yahoo! General Manager and Search Veteran Appointed to Lead the Agency’s Growth in the U.S.

The Search Agency, a global online marketing agency that combines specialty client service with proprietary technology to help marketers find and acquire the right customers, today announced that Peter Celeste has been named Chief Revenue Officer. In this role, Celeste will be responsible for all aspects of sales, marketing, business development, and channel management. His primary responsibility will be growing the firm’s domestic agency business.

Celeste has more than 12 years of experience in the high-tech and online media space, holding senior sales and general management positions at companies such as Overture (formerly, Yahoo!, Intuit and Oversee. At Overture he played a significant role in growing the company’s international division from a team of three to more than 800 people in more than 20 countries with $1 billion in annual revenue. He also served as Yahoo!’s regional general manager for its search and search marketing business in the Americas, a regional-based organization that provided search services in five countries to more than 50 distribution partners and nearly 20,000 marketers. Celeste’s most recent position was executive vice president of sales and marketing at SmartAction, an early stage, artificial general intelligence (AGI) software engine.
