Taste of Egypt is Highlight of Embassy Reception

Fancy Food Show attendees will have the opportunity to visit the Economic and Commercial Bureau of the Embassy of Egypt in Washington, for a taste of Egypt from 23 exhibitors on Monday June 18 from 6:30-8:30PM.

A unique tasting experience will be the highlight of a special reception at the Economic and Commercial Bureau of the Embassy of Egypt in Washington, DC during the Summer Fancy Food Show in Washington, DC. The event—Monday, June 18 from 6:30-8:30PM—features a wide array of Egyptian foods, including olives, olive oil, halawa, sweet & savory biscuits, fruits, vegetables, herbs, pickles, artichokes, juices, and other delicacies provided by the 23 exhibitors of Egyptian Pavilion (Booth #3036).

The Taste of Egypt reception is being hosted by Minister Plenipotentiary and Head of Bureau Mr. Ashraf Ezzeldin, and organized as part of the Zaytun Project to promote Egypt’s olive and olive oil industries administered by CNFA.

“We are very pleased to host this event and share the unique foods and flavors from our country to US buyers and journalists,” said Mr. Ezzeldin. “Food is an excellent form of cultural exchange and brings all people closer together.”
