Join Private chef Lisa Morgan (part-time Parisian/part-time Angeleno) as she discusses and demonstrates how the French eat well and stay slim. Learn what to do with seasonal ingredients as well as which ingredients to have in a (French) pantry. Class includes audience participation. Question and answer period to follow. There is no entrance fee but class space is limited. Chef Morgan, a graduate of the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Los Angeles, provides private chef and consulting services as well as cooking classes in Los Angeles and France. Born and raised in Southern California, chef Morgan has been traveling back and forth to France for over twenty years and currently divides her time between her homes in Los Angeles and Paris. In 2010, chef Morgan began the successful blog simple pleasures, which was inspired by her students. In 2011, chef Morgan published her first cookbook, Simple Pleasures: fifty-two weeks of turning ordinary ingredients into extraordinary moments. Chef Morgan is featured in the book "The Mothers of Reinvention” (Vanguard Press) as one of several women who reinvented themselves and followed their passion in the face of motherhood.
