We have a set of core values that is our anchor and I believe we have some of the most talented people in the industry.
Knoxville, Tenn. (PRWEB) May 24, 2012
LBMC, with offices in Knoxville, Chattanooga and Nashville, has been named by the Nashville Business Journal as one of the ‘Best Places to Work.’ Honored during an awards luncheon held May 22, 2012, LBMC was recognized in the large business category for its commitment to developing a culture of open communication and understanding among its employees.
“This is exciting news for our firm,” said Jessica Utley, director of human resources for LBMC. “Over the last several years we have put together a number of new initiatives, but it is the attitude, compassion, and dedication that our employees bring to work each day that makes the greatest impact towards our being a best place to work.”
Nominees were grouped according to company size and number of employees. Employees of nominated companies were asked to complete an online survey measuring 10 key engagement categories focused on items including team effectiveness, trust in senior leaders, feeling valued, manager effectiveness, compensation and benefits.
Accepting the award on behalf of LBMC, Utley said “This is a win for all of our offices. It is about our people and our culture.”
Since its inception, LBMC has given employees the opportunity and freedom to share ideas about how the company could be improved upon. This open sharing of ideas has resulted in programs such as business casual dress options, seasonal flex schedules, purchased paid time off, discounted gym memberships, business coaching programs and women’s initiatives as well as others. These types of initiatives allow LBMC to consistently recruit and retain a highly talented workforce.
“We work hard and we play hard,” said David Morgan, co-managing partner. “We have a set of core values that is our anchor and I believe we have some of the most talented people in the industry. This is a time of celebration.”
LBMC has nearly 400 employees, with offices in Chattanooga, Nashville (Brentwood), and Knoxville, Tennessee.
