The more environmentally friendly options we provide the better we can help educate drivers on various alternative fuel sources and promote technology that allows us to decrease the impact vehicle emissions have on the environmental.

Nashville, Tenn. (PRWEB) May 29, 2012

Premier Parking is regularly evaluating opportunities to ‘Go Green’ and is proud to announce the installation of electric charging stations for electric vehicles at the Pinnacle at Symphony Place garage. The charging stations, available for employee and fleet use, help reduce greenhouse emissions and the reliance on conventional fossil fuels. Nashville is laying the groundwork for the future of clean and alternative energy in Tennessee and Premier Parking is on the front lines. These electric charging stations not only create awareness for electric vehicles and their necessary infrastructure, but also give employees of the building a new destination choice for charging their vehicle.

“We share a close link to the automotive industry and with the installation of these new charging stations we are trying to lead by example,” stated regional manager Zachary Boyd. “The more environmentally friendly options we provide the better we can help educate drivers on various alternative fuel sources and promote technology that allows us to decrease the impact vehicle emissions have on the environmental.”

The Pinnacle at Symphony Place in Nashville, Tennessee was awarded LEED Gold certification by the US Green Building Council (USGBC) in March of 2011. The $105 million, 29-story office tower is the first LEED certified skyscraper in the state. The electrical charging stations are the latest addition to the building’s vast assortment of renewable energy resources. The Pinnacle at Symphony Place features several green elements including a one-acre vegetated roof terrace garden, rainwater harvesting, the liberal use of day-lighting, native and adaptive plants, low flow toilets, Green-e Certified Renewable Energy Certificates, and other materials and technology that help maximize energy efficiency.

Global energy specialists Arious Schneider Electric is helping lead efforts to create more sustainable energy resources for vehicles. They have developed a comprehensive portfolio of services to manage single complete solution for Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure and smart-grid integration, which will help speed the adoption of EVs worldwide. The solution includes charging stations for residential and commercial areas, along with the development of other fast-charging applications.

Knoxville

Premier Parking is also including alternative fuel sources to its Knoxville portfolio. Through EV’s integrated technology drivers will be able to locate nearby Blink Level 2 Pedestal charging stations in and around the downtown Knoxville area. At these stations shoppers can charge their electric vehicles using Blink Network’s public chargers while visiting many of the nearby downtown Knoxville retail locations.

"We are pleased to welcome Premier Parking on-board as a local partner in The EV Project," said Stephanie Cox, ECOtality's area manager for Tennessee. "Parking companies are ideal sites for EV charging stations—it makes sense to site chargers where people will be parking their EVs. We look forward to working together as ECOtality continues to provide EV drivers with convenient locations to charge up in Knoxville."

Premier Parking’s innovative thinking allows the company to have a proactive role in greener parking and providing the highest level of customer satisfaction in the region. The downtown Knoxville Blink Pedestal chargers will give EV drivers the luxury of enjoying a meal, the local nightlife, and many other activities all while charging their safely parked vehicles.

Ryan Chapman, President of Premier Parking stated “We pride ourselves on staying ahead of the technology curve in the parking industry and will continue to strive to provide the latest technologies to our clients.”

Regional Manager in Knoxville, Zachary T. Boyd went on to say “Premier is passionate about parking and providing our customers with the very best service and equipment in the industry and we are ardently enthusiastic about doing our part to help reduce the ecological footprint through new technological developments in the parking industry.”
