Actor Michael McKean was hit by a car on Tuesday afternoon in Upper Side Manhattan. Suffering from a broken, the actor was forced to miss out on his current Broadway show.

On Tuesday afternoon, actor Michael McKean was hit by a car, washingtonpost.com reported. The hit caused the “This Is Spinal Tap” star a broken leg. And because of the injury, the actor was forced out of his current Broadway show, related GreenBeanBuddy.com.

According to the report, the actor was hit on the 86th Street and Broadway on the Upper Side Manhattan. His rep, Harriet Sternberg confirmed his injury but added that McKean was already in a stable condition and recovering at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital, the report said.

However, with his injury, it was said that McKean was forced to miss his current Broadway show “The Best Man” by Gore Vidal. A separate report from huffingtonpost.com, stated that producer Jeffrey Richards announced that James Lecesne will fill his role.

“Theater and movie actor Micheal McKean was hit by a car on Tuesday afternoon. The actor was rushed to hospital following the incident and is now recovering.

A car struck the 64-year old actor while walking along the sidewalk of 86th Street and Broadway on the Upper Side of Manhattan. He was brought to St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital along with two other people injured in the accident. According to his rep, Harriet Sternberg, he suffered a broken leg but is now in a stable condition.”
