May 24th, 2012—Annese & Associates, Inc. announced today that it has achieved the Advanced Unified Fabric Technology Specialization from Cisco. This specialization recognizes Annese for having fulfilled the role-based training requirements to sell, design and deploy Cisco Unified Fabric Technology solutions within the Cisco Data Center portfolio.

“This specialization is a strong complement to our Advanced Unified Compute Technology (UCT) specialization in demonstrating our capabilities as a data center partner and is a key step in achieving the Data Center Architecture Specialization, which we have a target for Cisco’s year end,” said Rus Healy, Director of Virtualization Practice at Annese.

Data Center Virtualization has proven to be the fastest growing practice area for Annese to date. Clients in the commercial and education sectors in particular have acquired an appetite for BYOD policies and virtual desktop solutions that allow them to save on infrastructure costs and promote energy conservation across their workplace.

To that end, former Chief Technology Officer, Rus Healy, assumed the title of Director of the Virtualization Practice at the start of 2012 in order to create a dedicated lead to further this booming corporate initiative. In this role, Rus is tasked with managing all partner trainings, programs, certifications, and business development initiatives relative to the practice.

With revenue for the practice generating $10M in 2011 alone, Annese has expanded the Virtualization team to include two Virtualization Architects and has open opportunities for additional employees to continue this growth initiative.

As a Cisco Advanced Unified Fabric Technology Specialized Partner, Annese’s investment in technology training provides the ability to deliver transparent convergence, massive three-dimensional scalability, and sophisticated intelligence, resulting in significant savings and increased performance for clients. Annese also holds the Advanced Data Center Networking Infrastructure (DCNI) Specialization, the Advanced Unified Computing Technology (UCT) Specialization, and the Advanced Data Center Storage Networking Specialization (DCSN).

“Our business is fundamentally about one thing: helping our customers with their business challenges,” continued Healy. “Virtualization is a core piece of our practice for the simple reason that it’s a compelling way to address those challenges.”
