The highly anticipated Street Food Cinema presented by Moviefone, brought to you by the co-producers of the Los Angeles summer hit, Outdoor Cinema Food Fest, launches this Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Exposition Park. The Street Food Cinema summer event series features outdoor movies, gourmet food trucks and music from emerging Los Angeles musicians every Saturday this summer from Memorial Day Weekend thru Labor Day weekend. Movies will be presented with cinema quality sound and projection on a large screen with an image more than 40 feet wide by 22 feet high! Street Food Cinema is the ultimate summer destination for movies, music and food trucks this summer in Los Angeles.
This Saturday, May 26, Street Food Cinema will open its gates to hundreds of Angelenos for a viewing of the cult classic, Napoleon Dynamite. Guests will receive free totable picnic blankets (limited supply, first come, first serve) and throughout the night moviegoers will be treated to free coffee courtesy of 76 and free juice from Naked Juice. Fans will also have a chance to win season tickets to Street Food Cinema, the Napoleon Dynamite DVD and a Vote for Pedro tee by participating in a Napoleon Dynamite dance-off contest. Opening night participating food trucks include After School Special Truck, Don Chow Tacos, Grill ‘Em All, Kogi BBQ, Munchie Machine, Dogtown Dogs, A ROCKinICE and more.
Every Saturday guests will be treated to live music presented by The Viper Room. Opening night fans will rock out to Hush Money Quartet Featuring: Erik Rico, I Ced, Josh Koslow and Ivan Cotton. Throughout the summer guests will be offered a variety of giveaways, contests, and freebies from partners such as Chevrolet, Ben & Jerry’s and more. See the below schedule for more details.
